Happy Capitalism - Building Viable Societies and Businesses
On 19 November 2008, the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies hosted a conference, the third in the series of Don't Stop. An inspiring and thought provoking day of lectures and workshops, gathering leading speakers and participants for sharing and networking.
Happy Capitalism in focus
Currently, Happy Capitalism is under pressure as an ideal for development, economic growth and viable societies in a global framework. A recession is lurking in the shadows cast by spiralling commodity prices on food and energy. There is fear of tighter liquidity and a potential risk of an extended period of low or no growth and inflation. The concern for climate change adds to this picture. Happy Capitalism now requires fresh ideas, new goals and strategies. Don't stop thinking. Think new.
Think new
Don't Stop 08 faced these challenges. Prolific keynote speakers addressed various aspects of Happy Capitalism and the challenges and perspectives facing it.
Act new
4 "Future Labs" were set up calling to active participation throughout the conference. Your sharing, interacting and networking with the facilitators and other participants sparked new insights to all. Be inspired to developing new ways of doing business, improving individual and corporate well-being in the process.
The CIFS difference
Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies has more than 35 years of experience in corporate foresight. The objective of CIFS is to strengthen the basis for decision-making in public and private organisations by creating awareness of the future and highlighting its importance to the present.
