From CBA to MBA
The AVT educational concept consists of two primary education modules: the CBA and the MBA. Both are real-world programs designed for busy professionals, combining proven teaching methods with an intensive pace to ensure maximum learning in minimal time.
More than 900 executives have completed the CBA and MBA programs at AVT since its inception. Each year, our classes serve over 150 participants, making AVT one of the largest CBA/MBA schools in Denmark.
CBA participants starting in December 2010 will experience Philip Kotler
The CBA class starting in August 2010 is in for a special treat. As part of the CBA program the class will meet professor Philip Kotler, the world's leading professor in Marketing, from Kellogg School of Management.
The professor will appear via live sattelite video-link from his office to give the AVT participants a 3 hour guest lecture as extra inspiration in their marketing course.
The CBA program
The CBA (Certificate in Business Administration) at AVT Business School, often referred to as a "mini-MBA," is an accelerated executive certificate program that covers the key topics and management disciplines of the MBA curriculum. The CBA is the first of the two modules that comprise the AVT educational concept and serves as a stepping stone to the MBA program.
The CBA program has a duration of six months and starts twice a year, in August and December. Designed for motivated business managers who wish to take their leadership skills to the next level, the CBA helps participants strengthen their theoretical knowledge base and apply theory profitably to their current business challenges. The MBA
The MBA (Master of Business Administration) at AVT Business School is an intensive executive postgraduate degree. It is designed to expand the functional knowledge base of general managers as well as hone their ability to lead in an increasingly global business environment.
The MBA builds upon the successful completion of the CBA program and delvers further into the key aspects of business--from strategy, leadership and marketing to finance, operations management and human resources. All classes are held at the exclusive AVT Executive Center at Sankt Annæ Plads, located in the culturally rich metropolis of Copenhagen.
A High-Impact Learning Experience
The CBA and MBA programs are taught in small, efficient classes that support an interactive and effective learning environment. AVT has implemented the methods and recommendations of Harvard Business School with respect to Participant-Centered Learning and the Case Learning Method, which Harvard pioneered. In their teaching, our instructors combine the proven Case Learning Method with stimulating lectures to provide optimal opportunities for learning.

At AVT, we understand that a balanced life makes for an engaged and enthusiastic learner. That’s why our CBA program design enables you to easily manage the demands of your studies, work, and family.
In addition to conveniently scheduled classes, our programs allow you to complete the CBA and MBA curriculum at a pace that’s right for you. You may pursue the MBA immediately upon graduating from the CBA program, or you may delay entrance into the MBA program for up to three years following completion of the CBA. If you wish, you may also decide to stop after graduation from the CBA and focus entirely on your professional endeavors.
The AVT educational concept gives you the opportunity to "learn while you live" and coordinate the development of your career with the knowledge you gain from our programs.
Lifelong Learning and Networking
AVT also offers several lifelong learning opportunities that enable our graduates to continually refine their knowledge and keep abreast of the latest business concepts and strategies. Some are offered via our Alumni Business Network as 1- or 2-day Master Classes, and some--like the Certificate for Leaders --are available as open enrollment programs.
The Certificate for Leaders,
offered jointly by AVT Business School and the International University of Monaco, allows participants to study critical leadership concepts at the MBA level from their office or home--and at a pace which fits comfortably with their lifestyle.
