At AVT, we are often asked the question: "Do I have the right background to join the CBA program?" or "Can my industry truly benefit from the teachings of the CBA?"
The CBA Attracts Seasoned Business Executives
The average age of the 2011-II CBA class is 40.25 years, and the average experience is 18.8 years. That is a very mature and experienced group--more so, in fact, than many recent CBA classes. This is a true asset to the CBA program, as most of the learning stems from participants’ ability to compare cases and theory to their own experience--and discuss their insights with fellow participants.
The vast business backgrounds of our participants is why the CBA program is called "a truly executive experience with a high return on investment."
Ambition and Drive Are the Common Denominators
So does this mean you’re not welcome if you are younger than 40 and do not have 20 years of work history? Quite the contrary. As you can see from the various charts on this page, AVT strives to have great diversity in our classes--in terms of age, experience, educational backgrounds, industries and other factors.
However, we do require that you have strong ambition and tireless drive--and that you are willing to actively participate in classes and share generously of your experience and insights. These are the common denominators among all of our CBA participants, regardless of their backgrounds.
