With Nils Randrup.

Many students at the CBA or similar MBA level programs are executives, who has been away from college or university for 15 years or more. Over the years they might have partly forgotten or never really acquired good and effective study techniques either. In order to engage effectively in the CBA or similar MBA level programs, this course is designed to review most of the necessary principles, tools, and techniques which are typically used for effective and efficient preparation and participation in the different courses.

The overall aim of the course is to train efficient study techniques for assessing large amounts of text and data, using tools and techniques to be able to analyze and present findings clearly and compellingly in business reports and business presentations, e.g. at management or project meetings.

In order to do so, the course focus on helping students improve the quality and efficiency of their preparation for classes (e.g. study technique and reading technique), research and analytical skills (e.g. how analyze a situation), decision making skills (e.g. how to find/design relevant solutions, how to evaluate different solutions), report writing (e.g. production of reports, relevant use of basic strategic models), and presentation skills (e.g. delivery of oral presentations with the support of PowerPoint presentations).
