Jesper Berg, Director at Nykredit A/S

Jesper has many years of professional experience from the financial world, in the past he held the position as Head of Department, Capital Markets Department, with responsibility for financial stability issues at the Danish National Bank. He has previously held positions as Head of Market Operations and Head of Payments Systems at the bank. As Head of Capital Markets and Financial Structures Division at the European Central Bank from 2000 to 2004, he is the Dane, who has been the most involved in the setting of the monetary policy in the Euro area.

He has also spent three years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he was on the negotiation team for economic policy programs for Zambia, Sudan and Vietnam. He has worked as a consultant for the IMF in Bulgaria, for the World Bank in Uzbekistan and for the EU in the Kyrgyz Republic. Today Jesper is Director at Nykredit.  He was co-author of the textbook “Finansernes fald”.

At AVT Business School he teaches International Macro Economics on the MBA.
