MBA admissions requirements

For MBA admissions you must have completed the CBA successfully with a GPA of 3.0 or above – or a minimum of 3.4 if you do not have a first degree in good standing (e.g., Bachelor’s, Master’s or HD Diploma).

To ensure a class composition that maximizes the personal learning experience of the participants, the Admissions Committee emphasizes:

• Successful completion of CBA with the required GPA
• Ambition and drive
• Minimum 5 years of Business and/or management experience
• Personal profile and leadership potential
• English language skills

It is important that a completed application form with all appendices is submitted to AVT. The MBA Program Manager will assist you to determine when the application form and appendices are complete and sufficient for the admissions process.

What about GMAT?

AVT does not require the GMAT in our admissions procedure – but you are of course welcome to submit your test results.

While GMAT (General Management Admission Test) is useful for determining the study capability of an MBA student, it is of most value when assessing younger candidates with little or no work experience.

Since all our MBA participants have ample experience and a solid career track, AVT does not require results of the GMAT in our admissions procedure.

However, if you are interested in learning more about the GMAT and perhaps taking the test, you can find more information on GMAT website.

MBA Application Deadlines

The MBA program starts in September every year.

Admission to an MBA class is possible within 10 business days, as we have a rolling admissions process. However, the MBA is a highly sought after executive education. If you want to ensure a seat for the coming class, we encourage you to apply early.

The Application deadline is: 15 August 2012.
